SECRET FILES : TUNGUSKA
This game is exactly what i have been talking about all this time! Logical problem solving, no annoying-unclear-no hint riddles, fully enjoyable to play, great graphics, nice story.
This game is also easy to play even for beginners in adventure game. It has the search screen option on the bottom right corner as you can see in the screenshot below.
This is the feature that i like the most from this game. So if they got to put small tiny items on the floor, i don’t have to be crazy and wasting my time searching the whole scene for 30 minutes! So when i get a little stuck, instead of looking for some walkthrough, i can just click the search screen button on the bottom right of the screen.

Then voila! It shows all the items that are able to be examined or interact with.
This option also has advantages to both sides, from the developer’s side, they got to make sure their hardwork of all the items that is made in the game not wasted or passed by, and from the gamer’s side, yes, we don’t want to miss any of the items either!
And the cursor is representing a mouse with left and right click on it. It will be highlighted in green on the left click side if some items can be activated, or if i take out an item from the inventory and place the cursor on an item in the scene, it will also be highlighted in green on the left click side if this item can be interacted together. And right clicking if the highlighted is on the right side will make the character to examine the object.
However if the item cannot be interacted or activated somehow, there wont be any green highlight on the cursor.
So it is really pretty easy, thus making you not needing any ‘peek’ on hints in the internet.
Also, they got a neat looking journal option on the bottom right corner of the screen, where i can read back what i have gone through and the storyline so far.

Even more helping, they give clues to some riddles or password-cracking in the game. If the question mark sign appear on left top on the screen whenever i am facing a riddle, i can open my journal and they will give me clues on how i can solve this problem.
IT IS TOTALLY COOL!
What this game missed out is, the sound of the footsteps. I can hear like… : nothing.
And the people that is filling the voice is somewhat amateurs. Also the sentences are not correctly used to express certain situations.
But the graphics are great, and at least the character moves a bit when they are talking, not being a stone statue.
But i say the main character, Nina, is not expressive enough. She got like a dead gorgeous but ‘dead’ eyes.

Even when she is on cinematics. Those beautiful eyes are dead.
And also, I get to switch character between Nina and Max later on in the game. This is some feature that i liked from new styled adventure game in the past years. (For more example you can found this feature also in Broken sword III and IV, The Ankh.)

Currently as Max, to activate Nina, i have to click on Nina picture on the bottom right corner of the screen. Secret files : Tunguska screenshot
This post will be updated when i finished the game.
Updated : 8 March 2007
Actually i managed to finished this game some time ago but only now i have the time to update this post.
The ending is disappointing. It has no cinematics at all. And no clear explanation of the whole adventure. It also seems like near the end of the game, the story is shortened a lot to make up to the finishing line.
However at ending, they promised of a new adventure of Nina and Max coming up soon.
